Excuse the mess!
May 7, 2012
I updated the new platform for my Blog and ofcourse all my headings have disappeared. So excuse the mess while I try and fix everything again. It’s going to take me awhile… ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
This little princess made me work but then again, who likes to be disturbed when you are getting your beauty sleep? I just love her hair and her adorable cheeks! She is precious and Mom and Dad were so easy to get along with. Very laid back for being new parents.
I posted a photo of their first “baby”, Brady, in the upper left corner. Oh, if he wasn’t a doll baby as well! I have the p.e.r.f.e.c.t. image of their two babies together but I’m going to keep that for later. I know I said I’d have a larger preview but my goal is to get Miss Eleanor’s pics finished before Mother’s Day. So I’ll post more… later. promise. In the meantime, I love all of Miss Eleanor’s photos and I’m sure you will too! xoxo, Shannon

Cutest and calmest babies e.v.e.r.. Just so laid back. This is a wonderful age to document because at this stage in life they are so content to take everything in and they don’t have that “stranger-danger” face going on.
I was lucky enough to photograph little Miss Cutie-pie on the right in the group photograph. ** Love how they are holding hands in the group photo! <3 It was such a treat for me to see her again and see how much she has grown. Her handsome little cousin was in town visiting and Mom had a great idea to photograph the cousins together. Thank you so much for having me again. Your babies are soooo cute!! xoxo.

Baby Kurtis, 8 days new
April 16, 2012
I am sorry it’s been a little bit since I last posted on here! I’ve been updating on my FB page and have neglected my Blog- shame, shame on me. Business is outstanding as I am currently in the middle of working on 3 baby sessions in my queue. Seems like 4th of July last year was a busy time… wink, wink. Anyways, this little guy made me work but once I got him settled {all he needed was some good swaddling} he posed like a newborn model for me. Such handsome features… looks so much like his older sister when I photographed her at her newborn session. And seriously, all that hair is wickedly amazing! I even wish I had thick hair like that now! Family H, you make stunning babies.
Enjoy!
Love, Shannon

This little man made me work in the beginning. His little eyes were open and just taking everything in. Eventually, we got him nice and tired for his debut. I have to say, he had the most perfect creamy complexion for the photos – which means a lot less photoshop for me, yay!
His sandy-red hair is the cutest. Mom & Dad, enjoy your Sneak Peek. So many more wonderful images to show. Soon. ;-)
P.S. ~ I was so excited when you chose the little bear hat to showcase! I’ve been wanting to photograph a little one in this hat for a very long time.
Warmly,
Shannon

Dear Sara,
To one of the sweetest people I know. You are a great friend and I am blessed to know you. You have a beautiful family and I am honored that you asked me to photograph your children and document these moments in your Life. Also, thank you for your patience while I dealt with my insanity. Just joking. But not really. lol.
Love, Shannon

Unlimited Printing Rights vs Copyright review
November 27, 2011
It is that time of year when everyone is looking to create Christmas cards using your S.M.P photos from the session. I understand that my pricing for cards is expensive. So, I completely understand if you purchase your cards elsewhere from another company or even create your own cards. However, I encourage you to take a few minutes and review my policy below. You have all read the policy sheets and signed them. You should have this very card in your delivery packet. However, this is a great review because you might have forgotten and might not think anything of it… so please read below because I do take Copyright Infringement very seriously. What you may think is “no big deal” could negatively impact my business.
Thank you for understanding my policies as this protects my name, effort and time spent producing your one-of-a-kind portrait. If you ever have any questions or you are confused by something listed, please email or call me to discuss your questions. I am more than happy to review this with you as I would love to avoid any confusions. Many thanks! ~ Shannon
Happy Thanksgiving!
November 23, 2011
Really? Where has the time gone? I know I’m not the only one to think this and I’m sure you’ve said the same thing countless number of times to your friends and co-workers. Seriously, I think I just blinked and lost two months. It has been crazy busy but I am extremely thankful to you, my uber-awesome clients, for keeping me busy. It is through referrals that I am growing. I am always honored to be entrusted with capturing your little one’s delightful expressions and beautiful moments with you so that you may always relive this time in their Life.
May you have a relaxing and beautiful Thanksgiving with your loved one’s!
“For each new morning with its light,
For rest and shelter of the night,
For health and food, for love and friends,
For everything Thy goodness sends.”
~Ralph Waldo Emerson
“May Your stuffing be tasty,
May your turkey be plump,
May your potatoes n’ gravy,
Have nary a lump,
May your yams be delicious,
May your pies be the prize,
May your Thanksgiving dinner
Stay off of your thighs.”

This little sweetheart has such a vivid imagination and, if possible, even more energy! {If I could only bottle up that energy.}
But I guess it’s happiness knowing that you are well loved. I know, I’m kind-of sappy with this post… but it truly warms my heart when I see parents take the time to really be present with their child. Anyways, I love this moment with the parents and how they are enjoying their daughter. This is why I love what I do ~ because I am capturing all those little moments and fleeting expressions. I adore the picture on the right as well because I always try to capture a true candid moment at every session. This was it. Just a serene expression {and her hair blowing perfectly in the wind!} ha! I’ve been on a kick processing photos with color but I thought a B&W process really made it stand out. Mom and Dad, thank you for inviting me into your home and choosing me to capture your beautiful daughter.
Enjoy your Sneak Peek Mom & Dad! Don’t forget to share with friends and family on Facebook. Receive 15 Facebook likes and you will receive a complimentary web file for every portrait purchased. Just click on the little FB like button or Share with Love button. I’ll go first!
